The Council Rock North boys soccer team’s bid to reach the state final came up just short on Tuesday at North Penn.
Contestoga, the District One champion, beat North 3-0 in the PIAA Class 4A semifinals to advance to Friday’s championship game against Central Bucks South.
North made it to the state semis via Saturday’s 2-1 double overtime victory over La Salle at CB West. Windsor Varady scored the game-winning tally in that game for the Indians, who finish the season with a record of 19-4-2.
