Ethel Fachet, 94, formerly of Kintnersville, Pa., passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, at The Community at Rockhill, Sellersville, Pa.
She was born April 9, 1929 in Milford, N.J., and was a daughter of the late George and Helen Stryker Mills.
Ethel was employed by the Palisades School District where she worked in the cafeteria at the high school for 25 years. Prior to that she had worked at the Holiday Inn in Bethlehem, Pa., and for Kerr’s Hatchery in Frenchtown, N.J.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ottsville, and of the church’s Altar and Rosary Society.
Ethel and her husband, John, had been married for 62 years before his passing in 2011. She and John both loved dancing and traveling together on many bus trips to Tennessee, Nova Scotia, Bronson, Mo., and Florida.
She is survived by her children, John (Lorraine), Julia Helverson (Barry), Debbie Litzenberger (Denny) and Joe (Cindy); 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Mills.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4050 Durham Road, Ottsville, PA 18942. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
