U.K. band Sons of Cream features bassist Malcolm Bruce and drummer Kofi Baker, sons of two of the original members of the legendary Cream – Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker – and guitarist Rob Johnson, who is a grandnephew of Ginger.
The trio will perform at the Sellersville Theater at 8 p.m. Aug. 23. Visit the Sellersville Theater online for tickets and information.
Sons of Cream breathes fresh life into the family legacy of Cream as all three members are extremely talented musicians in their own right.
They perform highly entertaining shows as the band’s set includes one classic Cream song after another along with two Blind Faith songs.
Their live shows stay true to Cream’s music even down to the heavy duty improvising of the performance of the songs that the original Cream was noted for throughout its too-brief career. The band also tells very entertaining and informative stories about Cream and the band’s music during the show between many of the songs. It’s a concert of classic, blistering Blues-Rock performed by the true inheritors of this unique and unparalleled tradition and legacy.
They are not a tribute band, although they pay tribute to Cream’s music. Rather, Sons of Cream is a celebration of Cream’s iconic music.
