I was at a rally over the 4th of July weekend in Doylestown and heard Ashley Ehasz, candidate for PA Congressional District 1 representative, speak about women’s right to choose, reproductive health, abortion healthcare access…freedoms no longer guaranteed.

You may recall President Biden saying on television, soon after what he called the “outrageous” Dobbs decision, which held there is no right to an abortion contained in the U.S. Constitution, that we as a nation need to “codify Roe v. Wade as soon as possible.”

Like everyone in Bucks County, when I get stuck waiting for at a train crossing and become late for an appointment, I feel annoyed. But ever since the East Palestine train derailment and resulting toxic fire and spill, I feel fear as well.

Democrat Ashley Ehasz, on Thursday, announced that she plans to run for Congress in the 1st District again in 2024, setting up a possible rematch with incumbent Republican Brian Fitzpatrick.
