Bucks breast cancer nonprofit Main St. seeks sponsors and partners

Posted

Main St. (formerly Pine2Pink), a local nonprofit focused on caring for the Bucks County Breast Cancer Community, announced that Sponsorship and Partnership opportunities are now open.

Businesses with a desire to support the local breast cancer community and keep their donated funds local, are encouraged to reach out to become a 2024 official Sponsor and/or Partner. Visit www.welcometomainst.org or email keith@welcometomainst.org.

Main St., now in its seventh year, is a countywide initiative, making an impact on the lives of over 2,000 local Bucks County breast cancer patients since 2018. Main St. will be active during the entire month of October in New Hope, Carversville, Perkasie, Newtown, Doylestown, and two of the most popular shopping destinations: Peddler’s Village and Shops at Valley Square.

Main St. offers businesses multiple ways to get involved and participate:

• Thousands of lights will turn pink from streetlamps to storefronts, museums, municipal buildings, car dealerships, shopping malls and people’s homes.

• Main St. will benefit from over 20 events throughout the month.

• Shopping with Purpose: Nearly 100 stores and restaurants will participate in the nonprofit’s “Shop, Eat and Drink Pink” program where special Main St. items will be sold with a percentage of sales going to Main St.

• The Main St. free app uses “augmented reality” to create an interactive scavenger hunt, where over 150 virtual “hugs” will be hidden across Bucks County. Using smartphones people will capture the hugs for prizes including gift cards and experience-based prizes.

The beneficiaries of this year’s fundraising efforts will be Bucks County breast cancer patients cared for at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Buckingham, Grand View Hospital, Doylestown Health, Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic St. Mary Medical Center and Kin Wellness and Support Center.

“Over the last six years I have had the good fortune to cultivate relationships with hundreds of local businesses across Bucks County. I have witnessed their passion and creativity as they collaborate with our nonprofit in a mutually beneficial way that supports and impacts their business, as well as their social responsibility agenda while at the same time generating awareness and funds for Main St. This circle of life is what drives our nonprofit, and so much good has come from it!” shared Keith Fenimore, founder and executive director of Main St.

To date, Main St. has raised and donated over $550,000 and helped create and fund programs such as: home food delivery, patient out-of-pocket expenses, cold-capping, treatment transportation, integrative services and the purchase of infusion chairs at Fox Chase in Buckingham and Doylestown’s Cancer Center.
