When members of the Bucks County Peace Center held an “Active Shooter Prevention and Response Strategies” forum this month, little did they know how timely the talk would be. On Saturday, one such “active shooter” attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, killing an innocent rally attendee in the process and injuring two others in Butler, Pa. The 20-year-old shooter was killed by Secret Service.

The college baseball season opened in mid-February and awards came early and often to area ballplayers, who shone with no-hitters, walk-off dingers and hitting for the cycle.
