CB East baseball clinches crown

Posted

Central Bucks East (13-6, 12-4 SOL) clinched the SOL Colonial baseball title on Monday with an 8-6 win over North Penn. The Patriots were guaranteed a share entering the game, but the win gave East its first outright title in 11 seasons.

The crown marks a significant turnaround from East’s seven-win season in 2023.

Jack Mislan thumped a two-run homer in the first inning. The Patriots put up a five-spot in the fourth, thanks to RBI doubles from Chase Harlan and Jack Thompson, which put East up 7-4.

Damian Frayne, Sam Bliss and Jason Abert combined to yield just four hits and no earned runs, while striking out nine Knights.

The Patriots close their regular season on Thursday against Holy Ghost Prep and will likely earn a first-round bye when District One playoffs start on Monday.
