Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,810,781

Harrisburg - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on April 26, there were 1404 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,810,781.

There was one new death identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 44,616 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

There are 2,329,073 confirmed cases and 481,708 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,199,885 individuals who have tested negative to date.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules, and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

  • Bucks County: 124,498 cases and 1,892 deaths
  • Chester County: 93,095 cases and 1,151 deaths
  • Delaware County: 111,306 cases and 1,871 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 90,172 cases and 1,237 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 154,723 cases and 2,317 deaths
  • Northampton County: 80,342 cases and 1,091 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 312,757 cases and 5,090 deaths

The Department of Health continues to provide the public with extensive and frequently updated data on both the COVID-19 dashboard and the vaccine dashboard. Both dashboards provide an interactive experience for the user to review statewide and local-level data updated daily.

The department will continue to provide data via online dashboards; however, starting in late April, the dashboards will be updated on a weekly basis.
