Disability Pride Exhibition opening at The Baum School of Art

The Baum School of Art is proud to host a Disability Pride exhibition in partnership with Disability Pride Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley Arts & Cultural Alliance.

The exhibition showcases artworks from over 30 local and regional artists with disabilities. Join in for the opening reception of the Disability Pride Exhibition, Third Thursday, July 18, from 6-8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The Disability Pride Exhibition will be on display at The Baum School, 510 Linden St., Allentown, from July 18–Aug. 8, as well as during The Disability Pride Lehigh Valley Arts Festival. The festival is a celebration of the disability community showcasing art, live music, special guests, resource tables, food trucks, and games for all ages.

The Disability Pride Lehigh Valley Arts Festival will be held in the Allentown Arts Park located at 24-32 N. 5th St., Allentown, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 20. All are welcome at this free-admission event.

The Baum School of Art’s galleries will be open during the event. Elise Schaffer of Lehigh University Art Galleries will be hosting an audio tour of the exhibition at noon July 20 in Baum’s galleries.

Audio descriptions of the exhibition will be provided by Maggie Mills of Cedar Crest College and Schaffer.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays. the gallery is closed on weekends.
