The Dream Big Rally, an event designed to encourage teenagers to find their way in today’s world, will take place noon-2 p.m. Saturday, May 13 at Lenape Middle School in Doylestown.
During the Mike Pettine Foundation event, hosted by Mike Carey, speakers will share their middle/high school stories, and the issues they faced and overcame. They will provide a roadmap on the techniques used to get through tough times, lack of confidence and self-worth.
Teens and their parents are invited to attend a meet and greet with the speakers at 11:30 a.m.
Speakers include: Howie Roseman, Philadelphia Eagles general manager, appearing via Zoom; Colin Thompson (Archbishop Wood), tight end, Carolina Panthers; Bryan Buckley (CB West), captain, Marine Raiders Special Forces; Dr. Devon Smith, (Lenape Middle School), UROGYN surgeon; Justin Guarini (CB East), “American Idol” runner-up, singer, artist, producer, appearing via video; Mike Moosbrugger (CB East), former college and professional football player, businessman, coach; Jenna Lloyd, (CB West), nurse practitioner; Christina Brewerton, Bucks County Sheriff, K-9 patrol; Collin Gillespie (Archbishop Wood), point guard, Denver Nuggets, appearing via video; Ray Didinger, sportswriter, radio personality (610 WIP), Pro Football Hall of Fame; Mike Buonanno (Archbishop Wood), Marine platoon commander, Merck Pharmaceutical; Bob Bell (CB West), United States Coast Guard, Central Bucks SWAT Team, Warrington police officer; Maddie Burke (CB West), four-time all-state girls basketball player, 6A Player of Year 2020, Villanova women’s basketball.
The free event is open to both teenagers and their parents.
