Freedom’s Wings International hosted an event Sunday, July 14 at Van Sant Airport in Tinicum, helping about a dozen individuals with disabilities sit in the cockpit of a glider and soar in the sky.

A nonprofit organization run by and for people with physical disabilities, Freedom’s Wings International brings the joy of soaring to individuals with physical challenges by providing opportunities for them to fly in specially adapted sailplanes, either as passengers or as members of the flight training program.
