Posted

“Engaging in Oils and Sculptures” showcases the paintings of Jeanne Chesterton and the sculptures of Patricia Goodrich for the June show at Stover Mill Gallery 852 River Road (Route 32), Erwinna. The gallery is open from 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, June 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, and 22-23.

Receptions will take place from 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2. The gallery is open free of charge and handicap accessible. For information, call 610-294-9420.

Chesterton’s traditional still life paintings feature the formal and the ordinary, both of which reflect the beauty she appreciates in her subjects. She concentrates on arrangements that engage the subjects in harmonious dialogue, which in turn speaks to the viewer.

Goodrich, who is also painter, author, poet and photographer, presents wooden boxes with artifacts that tell stories, adobe brick icons on glass sculptures with a global orientation, and stone sculptures.

The event marks the second show at the Stover Mill Gallery in which the couple has exhibited their works together.
