The season came to a close this week for the Pennridge Rams boys lacrosse team; the Pennridge girls were still alive at press time.
The No. 5 Ram boys (16-5), the SOL National champions, dug themselves an early 4-0 hole in Thursday night’s District One 3A playback against No. 9 Upper Dublin. Pennridge forced overtime with three unanswered fourth quarter goals, but fell in OT 8-7. Matt Seiler’s four goals paced the Rams.
The No. 8 Ram girls (14-7), the SOL National co-champions, lost Thursday night’s District playback at No. 5 Downingtown East 15-12, giving the Cougars all they could handle. Ava Fantaskey had six goals to pace the Rams.
The Ram girls hosted No. 10 Garnet Valley in a late Wednesday playback for the seventh and final PIAA slot.
