Pickering Manor seminar explores “Health and Wellness for Older Adults”

Pickering Manor will host a complimentary seminar titled “Health and Wellness for Older Adults” 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14.

The seminar is designed to educate and encourage healthy lifestyles through light fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness. Healthy refreshments will be available.

In the session, attendees will learn exercise guidelines for older adults (65 plus), light exercises you can do at home, general nutrition recommendations, and tips and tricks on how to maintain overall wellness. Additionally, for those interested, there will be a live demonstration of Nordic Walking/Urban Poling. Time will be provided for questions and answers.

The seminar will be presented by Kaitlyn Joffey, doctor of physical therapy and owner of Let’s Get Moving, which provides in-home fitness, nutrition, and wellness programs for adults 60 plus and those living with neurologic conditions.
