The No. 1 Council Rock South girls tennis team rolled over No. 16 Academy Park on Monday in the first round of the District One 3A tournament.
South hosted No. 9 WC Henderson in Tuesday’s second round, with the winner clinching a bid in the PIAA tournament. Results were unavailable at press time.
The Golden Hawks did not have a single senior on last year’s team, who made it to the second round of states.
No. 13 Central Bucks South also earned a spot in districts. The Titans fell 4-1 at No. 4 Radnor in the first round.
The district championship will be on Monday. States starts on Oct. 24 and concludes on the 28th.
