Harrisburg — The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed that as of Aug. 24, the statewide cumulative total cases of COVID-19 is 3,185,902.

There are 2,625,738 confirmed cases and 560,164 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases.

The Pennsylvania death registry reported a cumulative total of 46,716 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules, and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. Wearing a mask is an effective way to reduce the risk of catching or spreading COVID-19.
