Antique vehicles at Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead Museum

Posted

Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead Museum hosts a display of antique cars, trucks, tractors and engines from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 21, with music by Bakersfield Band from 1 to 4 p.m.

On display this year, the farmstead will put out several antique garden tractors; one homemade from auto parts, an early speedex, a 2-wheel David Bradley and a John Deere diesel. If you have an old, unique garden tractor, bring it to the farmstead on July 21.

Two antique car clubs will be in attendance. One club features Model-A Fords, and the other has more modern cars older than 25 years old. Also expected are an old Rolls Royce sedan, an antique fire truck and an antique brush truck.

Antique military Jeeps will be there as well as several other cars and trucks. Also scheduled are a couple of Ford 2N tractors and a restored Ford 8N. Others are still signing up. This is in addition to the many antique tractors owned by the Farmstead.

If you have an antique auto, truck, tractor or hit-n-miss engine, bring it down.

Bracelet making with a miniature rope machine will be available for children.

This event is a fundraiser for Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead to help pay for maintenance, utilities and insurance. If you bring an antique vehicle or engine, admission is free.

Admission to the show is a donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 10 with a maximum of $25 per family.

Holcombe Jimison Farmstead Museum is located at 1605 Daniel Bray Highway, Lambertville, N.J. Visit www.holcombe-jimison.org for information.
