Bucks resident in the running for America’s Favorite Teacher

Posted

Local educator Molly Fitzpatrick has reached the quarterfinals of America’s Favorite Teacher.

A competition that celebrates the “unsung heroes who instill a love for learning, cultivate critical thinking skills and nurture the potential of each student,” one educator will win $25,000, a trip to Hawaii and appear in Reader’s Digest, according to the contest website.

Fitzpatrick, a Bucks County resident who teaches students with autism in grades K-1 in the Hatboro-Horsham School District, was fourth in quarterfinalist voting as of Tuesday. Voting to send teachers to the semifinal round ends 7 p.m. May 16.
