Christopher H. Wilson

Christopher H. Wilson died on Friday morning, August 2nd after a difficult struggle with mesothelioma cancer. He died at home surrounded by his loving wife of 29 years, Melissa, and his beloved son Kian, and his dear friend, Fr. Thomas M. Wilhelm.

Chris was the cherished son of Mary and Gary Wilson. Chris was born in Havertown, PA in 1959 and lived there with his Mother Mary H. Wilson and his sister Beth until he was 18 Years old. Chris was mentored through his early years by his devoted Big Brother, and lifelong friend, Bill Finlay. Many good friends have enriched Chris and Melissa and Kian’s life among whom are his lifelong friend Ricardo Nunez and his wife Valerie, Jim and Kathy Dickert, Vince and Kathy Formica, Sean and Alli Hill, Scott and Ashley Christie, Phil and Karen Gonzalez, Danny and Tammy Rodgers, Paul and Debbie Markert, and others too numerous to mention. Chris was a graduate of Haverford High School Class of 1977. He attended Delaware Valley University and graduated from there in 1983. Chris worked post College at his own wallpaper and painting business until he started a long and fruitful relationship with Porter Instrument Company in 1985. Both Cynthia and Gary Porter became not only employers but dear friends over these years, as well as his coworker, Michael Lynam. He continued working with them and under Parker Hannifin until 2015. In 2015 Chris began working with Accutron which was assumed by Crosstex in 2017. He went to work for Air Techniques in 2019 until the present.

Chris was actively involved with the Scouting activities of his son, Kian, and was involved with his Little League pursuits when he was younger. Chris and his family became avid campers and traveled the East Coast over the past several years and made many lifelong friends among whom were Dave Griffin and Cindy Strauss who have become like family as many campers do to one another.

Chris is survived by his loving wife Melissa, his beloved son Kian, his sister Beth McGrath and her husband Michael and their children Liam and Nora; his sister-in-law Anita and her husband Joseph, and their children Michael, Nate and Amanda; and brother-in-law Larry and his wife Nina, and his daughter Patricia.

Memorial contributions can be made in Chris’ memory to St. John’s/St. Francis de Sales Parish, 12 Holly Hill Drive, Woodstock, NY 12498.

A Memorial Service for Chris is being planned for Saturday, September 7th at Doylestown United Methodist Church at 320 E Swamp Rd, time: 10 AM.
