Deadline nears to nominate small businesses for SBA recognition

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Eastern Pennsylvania District Office is looking for small businesses with exceptional innovation, growth, community engagement or resilience to be nominated the 2024 National and District Small Business Week Awards.

To be nominated, businesses must have been in operation for at least three years and should have received at least one type of SBA assistance in the form of an SBA loan/microloan, Resource Partner assistance (counseling/training), government contracting/certification assistance, disaster assistance, pandemic funding, Boot to Business training or some other help.

The deadline is 4 p.m. Dec. 7. All submissions must be made electronically at https://sba.app.box.com/f/568e3f23d6794829bbc6a6b2fb6cd48e. The website also includes a list of award categories.

“We look forward to recognizing our local outstanding small businesses and entrepreneurs with these awards, which are one of the nation’s highest honors for small business achievement,” said Eastern Pennsylvania District Director Steve Dixel in a statement.
