Donations wanted for Tinicum Arts Festival book and white elephant sales

Posted

The Tinicum Civic Association invites drop-offs for its book sale and its white elephant sale, to be held during its 73rd Tinicum Arts Festival.

Mark your calendar for the festival, taking place July 13 and 14, in Tinicum Park, Erwinna.

In the meantime, drop off books between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. each Sunday in June at the Annex behind Tinicum Park Barn, 963 River Road in Erwinna. Book Wagon volunteers will be collecting paperback and hardback books. (No encyclopedias, magazines or textbooks please.)

Also in the meantime, deliver White Elephant & Collectibles items between 10 a.m. and noon each Sunday in June to the volunteers at Dark Hollow Farm, 226 Dark Hollow Road, Pipersville, (near intersection of Municipal Road). Volunteers will accept your White Elephant and Collectibles, small home décor, kitchen gadgets, tools and vintage items. (No electronics, or baby strollers.)

During the Tinicum Arts Festival, these items will be offered for sale at low prices, and it is all for a good cause. The Tinicum Arts Festival is the primary fundraiser of the Tinicum Civic Association. All proceeds go to more than 30 community-based nonprofit organizations, and to restore and maintain the historic Stover Mill, which offers art exhibits featuring local artists in the Stover Mill Gallery.
