The Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (EMCCC) honored Montgomery County Commissioner, Kenneth E. Lawrence, Jr. at its annual banquet and awards ceremony, “Inspiring Success,” June 1, at the Huntington Valley Country Club.

State Sen. Maria Collett presented the Leadership Award to Lawrence for his work as a County Commissioner over the past seven years.

Lawrence has taken a hands-on approach to learning and experiencing Montgomery County’s government and programs. He is an avid user and promoter of the county’s parks and trails and has completed the Montgomery County Trail Challenge every year since 2017.

Special recognition was given to Wendy Klinghoffer, who was retiring from the executive director position at EMCCC after more than 18 years of service. She joined the chamber after having worked for State Rep. Ellen M Bard and has led the EMCCC in its growth, diversity, and vitality.

Jude Martin-Cianfano was selected to be the new executive director, effective July 1, after an extensive search conducted by the EMCCC’s Succession Planning Committee.

Martin-Cianfano was most recently director of events and membership for the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce (LBCCC). She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Marketing and Consumer Behavior from Rider University.

Other award winners were Business of the Year, Derr Flooring; Non-Profit of the Year, Kelly Ann Dolan Memorial Fund; EMCCC Volunteer of the Year, Mary Ann Murtha; and the Marjorie Jacoby Humanitarian Award, Corey Compa.
