Fitzpatrick selects 12-year-old Bucks cancer survivor as his State of the Union guest

Posted

U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-01) announced today that Bucks County resident and cancer survivor Sara Harvey will be his guest for President Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Harvey was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma and had her eye surgically removed. She collaborated with the Neshaminy School District to raise nearly $4,000 for the Four Diamonds fund, which works to combat childhood cancer.

“Sara Harvey is a warrior who not only beat cancer but works tirelessly to raise money for research and treatment,” said Fitzpatrick. “This deadly disease affects thousands of American families, including my own, and we must continue to raise awareness and work toward finding a cure. I’m proud of Sara’s work to raise money for cancer research, and I’m honored to have her join me at the State of the Union address.”
