Glen Foerd slates annual RiverFest celebration

Glen Foerd will host its annual RiverFest, an environmentally themed outdoor event on the Delaware, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30.

The family-friendly festival celebrates the natural beauty of the Delaware River and combines a morning and afternoon of fun, art and hands-on environmental and educational activities, including open kayaking (last boaters at 12:45 p.m.) for all. The celebration is free to the public.

Glen Foerd is hosting partner organizations from Riverfront North Partnership, The Block Gives Back, Tacony Lab, and the Pennypack Environmental Center.

Glen Foerd is located at 5001 Grant Ave., Philadelphia, just outside Bucks County.

The public is invited to bring blankets or chairs.

Donations are appreciated but not required, and attendees are asked to register in advance by visiting Glen Foerd’s events page at www.glenfoerd.org/events.
