Gun-wielding motorist gets 15-30 years in road rage shootings

A Fort Washington man is headed to state prison for, on three separate occasions, firing a gun at fellow motorists on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bensalem and on Route 1 in Falls.

Bullets hit at least two vehicles and one victim sustained a leg injury.

“The fact that no one died on these crowded highways in Bucks County is a miracle,” Deputy District Attorney Thomas C. Gannon said Thursday at the sentencing of Andre Kenny Mark Green, 30, of Montgomery County.

Bucks County Judge Charissa J. Liller sentenced Green to 15 to 30 years in state prison plus 10 years of probation. She also ordered him to take a mental health evaluation and pay $3,250 in restitution to two victims.

Green, who was not allowed to be in possession of a firearm due to prior felony convictions, was arrested in April 2022 after state police connected him with daytime turnpike shootings on March 15 and March 21 of that year.

In the first incident, a driver told state police that he’d been shot at on the westbound turnpike in Bensalem and investigators recovered shell casings on the highway at the scene.

In the second, police recovered two projectiles inside the victim’s vehicle. That driver was injured and, on Thursday, she told the judge that she continued to be traumatized by what happened and can hardly drive.

“I didn’t deserve this,” she said.

Following Green’s April 2022 arrest, police in Falls linked him to a January 2022 incident on northbound Route 1. In that case, Green was driving a red car that he’d rented and one shot struck the victim’s vehicle.
