Route 611 was closed at Route 313 late Tuesday afternoon for a hazardous materials incident in Plumstead Township, impacting rush hour traffic, Doylestown Township Police said in a posting on CrimeWatch.
According to published reports, the hazmat situation, at approximately 4 p.m., was caused by an overturned oxygen tanker at the intersection in Plumstead Township.
Various fire and rescue companies, along with a hazmat team and a medic, responded.
