Hilltown Historical hosts Fall Festival and Open House

The Historical Society of Hilltown Township hosts its Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Strassburger Farmstead, 407 Keystone Drive and Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville.

Visitors can support local artisans and antiques vendors selling their wares and watch demonstrations of rug hooking, blacksmithing, smocking and more.

Attendees also can learn the history of the Pennsylvania Long Rifle and visit the farm animals, explore the Homestead, Summer Kitchen, Pennsylvania Ramp Barn and Museum on the grounds of the circa 1800s Strassburger Farmstead, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Youths can try their hand at a tin punch craft.

Baked goods made by Society members will be for sale. Refreshments will be available. Visitors can bid on items at the large Silent Auction.
