Kin Wellness and Support Center plans year of community giving programs and events

Posted

Kin Wellness and Support Center in Buckingham has created a robust slate of fundraising events and donor programs for 2023.

The community is invited to participate in events and donor programs including: Be Kind 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run, Bucks County Spa & Salon Self-Care Month, Kin Golf Classic, Casino Night, Backyard Bash, Naming Opportunities, Cover Our Rent and more.

The nonprofit offers free services to Bucks County cancer patients and their caregivers, made possible by community support. As a 501(c)(3), all donations to Kin are tax deductible.

Kin invites the community to: become a kin sponsor as a founding partner or community sponsor; or enjoy naming opportunities for one of the rooms at Kin. It also invites the community to: select and absorb a line item from Kin’s operating budget, or to purchase an item from its registry of needed supplies and items.

The Be Kind 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run (part of the Bucks 5k Series) is set for April 15; Bucks County Spa and Salon Self-Care Month is May/June; Kin Golf Classic is June 19; and Kin Casino Night will take place in September.

We’ve built such a wonderful place for cancer patients and their caregivers to retreat and restore. Our work has just begun, and our reliance on community support is crucial. Donated funds allow us to continue to care for those in our community battling cancer,” said Director of Kin Kristina Fenimore.

In 2022 Kin’s events were attended and enjoyed by hundreds of people from across the county and the giving programs attracted support from residents and businesses with a desire to keep their donations dollars local. The nonprofit looks to attract even more people to support Kin in meaningful ways in 2023 and beyond.
