St. John the Evangelist Knights of Columbus Council awarded two $3,000 scholarships this year to Matthew Thiel, right, and Elise Rhen, second from left. The Sir Richard I Fleming Memorial Scholarship is a faith-based scholarship. Both applicants demonstrated worthy service to the Church, God, and service to others. Matthew will be attending the University of Pittsburgh, and Elise will be attending Seton Hall University. Presenting the awards is Scholarship Committee Chair Lou Failla, left.
