Local author Patrick Lombardi to host book launch and signing

Posted

Author Patrick Lombardi is delivering a mess of embarrassingly true stories seeking to answer life’s important questions, like: What in the heck is adulthood?

“Clear As Clay: Provoking Life’s Moldable Moments” publishes June 21, and to celebrate the New Jersey native is hosting a book launch and book-signing event with readers, writers and area residents from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at Commonplace Reader, 49 S. Main St., Yardley.

Paperback copies will be available for purchase at the store on the day of the event. Copies of his debut humor book, “Junk Sale: Stories & Essays,” as well as “The New Jersey Food Truck Cookbook” also will be available for purchase in paperback editions.

With a blend of self-deprecating humor and heartfelt reflection, Lombardi explores the nuances of family dynamics, the absurdities of the workplace, and the joys and tribulations of embracing adulthood. He pokes fun at his past decisions and delusions, all while celebrating those who’ve consistently kicked him back to reality.

“Clear As Clay” is not a memoir—it’s a relatable, riotous journey that reminds us it’s okay to laugh at ourselves and at life, even when we’re not quite sure what the heck is going on.

On Saturday, July 6, at 1 p.m. Lombardi also will be celebrating the book’s release at The Lahaska Bookshop in Peddler’s Village during the Red, White, and Blueberries BBQ Bash.
