MCC hygiene kit program boosted by Everence member donations

Posted

Everence members in the Souderton area donated hundreds of personal care items – as well as several thousand dollars – during a special campaign to end 2022.

Everence asked its members for help in supporting the MCC Material Resource Center, which creates hygiene kits for refugees.

It specifically asked for donations of bath soap, hand towels or cash.

Members donated more than 100 towels, nearly 250 bars of soap and about $3,000, as well as toothbrushes, nail clippers and combs.

Everence matched the monetary donations.

Recently, Everence Stewardship Consultant Randy Nyce presented the personal care items and a check for $6,005 to the MCC Material Resource Center, where hygiene kits are packed for people around the world who are forced to flee their homes.

Everence helps individuals, organizations and congregations integrate finances with faith through a national team of financial professionals. Everence offers banking, insurance and financial services with community benefits and stewardship education.
