Meet Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer at Arete Gallery

Posted

Arete Gallery in New Hope hosts an art exhibit featuring pieces by Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Michael Cartellone, and a meet and greet with the musician-artist.

“While you may have never seen Michael’s artwork, chances are you have heard the beats of his drum for iconic bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Damn Yankees,” said Kim I. Plyler, Arete Gallery owner. “We are captivated by his artwork, and we are thrilled to host him at our gallery.”

When Cartellone is not on tour, he trades his drumsticks for paintbrushes, producing what Plyler called “mesmerizing” works of art. His artwork is available for viewing and purchase.

In addition to the showcase, Arete Art Gallery, 122 S. Main St., New Hope, is hosting a meet and greet with Cartellone from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, in the gallery’s upstairs loft.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is performing at Musikfest in Bethlehem the following day.
