Middle Bucks Institute of Technology adult education classes open for registration

Posted

Registration is now open for hands-on adult evening courses this fall at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT).

The courses offer adults the opportunity to gain new employment skills, learn home improvement techniques or explore new hobbies.

“MBIT offers a dental assisting and oral radiology test prep class for adults to begin a career in the dental field,” explained Nancy Lawson, adult education coordinator. “Homeowners learn home repairs in the carpentry, ceramic tile flooring and plumbing classes. Hobbyists gain skills in the photography, wood shop, and woodworking-furniture making courses,” Lawson added.

“As a Career and Technical Education center, MBIT is committed to serving high school students during the daytime and providing career-oriented courses for adults at night,” noted Dr. Mark Covelle, administrative director at MBIT. “This fall, MBIT is offering a self-defense class for adults in the workplace, a CANVA design course, and small engine repair for landscapers and homeowners. Automotive technicians can take PA Safety Inspection and Emissions Inspection Certification with MBIT.”
