NWS: Storm could drop 6 to 8 inches of snow in Upper Bucks County Tuesday

Posted

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly issued a winter weather prediction Tuesday afternoon that shows portions of Upper Bucks County receiving 6 to 8 inches of snow Monday night into Tuesday.

Less is likely to fall in Central Bucks County, where the National Weather Service model shows accumulations of 2 to 3 inches, and a slushy 1 to 2 inches along the I-95 corridor in Lower Bucks County.

The projections were issued as part of a 4 p.m. winter storm briefing that suggested precipitation would begin late Monday night as rain and change to mainly snow between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Tuesday, which would make for a sloppy morning commute.

Snow could fall at a rate of between a half-inch to an inch per hour, according to the NWS.
