Newtown “Street Fair with Flair” is back

The Newtown Business Association’s annual Newtown Welcome Day, popularly known as the “Street Fair with Flair,” will be held along Sycamore Street in Newtown from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday June 9.

The free event has historically drawn over 5,000 visitors to Newtown.

The event for all ages includes a variety of activities organized by members of the NBA. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant array of artists, crafters, and vendors, offering unique goods and handmade crafts. The street will be lined with tasty treats from local eateries.

This year’s event boasts an exciting lineup of musical performances and on-stage demonstrations. Enjoy a diverse range of music genres, including rock, Irish, country, and blues.

Performers include Krunga, Springbrook, Shamrock Shenanigans, Brooks Brothers Blues Band, and Turning Tides, with DJ Neil Cohen keeping the energy high throughout the day. Additionally, don’t miss live demonstrations from BC Discoveries, Action Karate, and more, showcasing local talent.
