PECO utility improvements scheduled on two state highways in Bucks

Posted

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on two state highways in Bucks County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

•Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 31, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a weeknight lane closure is scheduled on Route 332 (Newtown Bypass) in both directions at the intersection with Lindenhurst Road in Newtown Township.

•Monday, May 20, through Monday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday closure is scheduled on Lindenhurst Road between Route 332 (Newtown Bypass) and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) in Newtown and Lower Makefield townships. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 332 (Newtown Bypass), Durham Road, and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road). Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
