Quakertown Community School District launches search for next superintendent

Posted

The Quakertown Community School District (QCSD) School Board is searching for the district’s next superintendent. The current superintendent, Dr. William Harner, is retiring.

“Quakertown Community School District wishes Dr. Harner the best in his retirement,” said board President Glenn Iosue. “We have a great community and a high-performing district. We look forward to interviewing superintendent candidates that value collaboration and a forward thinking approach to education.”

The search began on Dec. 21, with the release of a community survey on the district’s website. This survey is an opportunity for all stakeholders, including residents, parents and guardians, faculty, staff and students to provide input regarding the next superintendent.

Interested candidates should visit edcareergateway.com to apply. To assure a review by the board, candidates must submit a cover letter, resume and application by Jan. 30.

All other required documents must be submitted or in process. Questions related to the superintendent search can be directed to Shane Pagnotti, search consultant with the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA), at shane.pagnotti@psba.org.
