Quakertown Veterinary Clinic highlights recent expansion

Posted

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic’s expansion plans open the door to improved 24/7 emergency animal care at a new state-of-the-art boarding facility.

In recent years, the clinic has partnered with both Community Veterinary Partners and Terravet Real Estate Solutions to make these much-needed expansions possible.

Dr. Randy Bimes, the lead large animal veterinarian at the Quakertown Veterinary Clinic, explained that there has been a big demand for this expansion for years now.

The Bucks County and Quakertown communities have expressed a need for a higher capacity for vet care, and Bimes is making sure that need is met.

He said this expansion focuses on adding improved urgent-care services and expanding in a number of different specialty areas like ophthalmology and cancer treatment.

He said this will “allow us to double the capacity of the office and decrease wait times for scheduled appointments and emergencies.”

The new expansion also offers education opportunities for student veterinarians. Bimes said, “The expansion project has allowed us to house more externs than we have ever been able to in the past. We can house 75 students at a time but have about 45 living there at the moment.”

Bimes emphasized that these new expanded services wouldn’t be possible without the support that Community Veterinary Partners and Terravet provide.

The Quakertown Veterinary Clinic opened a new and improved state-of-the-art boarding facility at the beginning of this year as a result of these partnerships.

Jenny Baker, director of strategic communication for Community Veterinary Partners, reiterated that “partnership drives extraordinary pet care.”

According to the Community Veterinary Partners website, it “started in 2009 to be a place where veterinary practice owners could get the support they need to focus on what they do best — providing extraordinary care to patients.”

Baker said, “I can’t stress enough how beautiful the partnership is.”

Founder and CEO of Terravet Real Estate Solutions Daniel Eisenstadt said that “when it’s done well, partnerships like these lead to quality veterinary medicine.”

According to its website, “Terravet Real Estate Solutions is dedicated to helping veterinarians make sound financial decisions that maximize the value of their real estate.”

Eisenstadt said Terravet became interested in acquiring Quakertown Veterinary Medicine because of how “unusually strong” it is.

“It is one of the top five buildings we own in terms of size, modernity and diverse opportunities” he said.

“Doctor Randy Bimes is an excellent equine vet, but also an incredible business guy,” which made the partnership a no-brainer, said Eisenstadt.

He added that “each development is its own animal. If the operators are interested in driving development, we end up being much more passive, and that’s the case with Quakertown.”

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is looking most forward to the ways in which it can continue to serve the community with the help of the expansion.
