The paintings of William Harrison Atkinson, 1895-1978, folk artist of Bucks County, are featured in an exhibit from now until July 31, at Richland Library Co., 44 S. Main St., Quakertown. The paintings exhibited include the “Oldest Home in Richland Township,” a “Quilting Bee” with participants identified, “Fishtown” and “Licking Run Creek,” the Fluck home and family, Haycock Mountain, and many others donated for this exhibit by individual owners, the Richland Historical Society, and Richland Library Company.

Atkinson, a resident of East Rockhill Township, wrote “A History of East Rockhill” and painted profusely after retiring from the Gauge. He was a keen observer of nature and people.

Richland Library is handicapped accessible.

Also exhibited are Antique Zithers collected by Matt Koch. For information, call the Richland Library Company at 215-536-5636.
