Technical issue affecting Bucks County 911 phone lines

Posted

Update: As of about 12:15 p.m., the issue affecting Bucks County 911’s phone systems has been resolved and service is restored, the county said on its website.

The Bucks County 911 Center this morning is experiencing technical issues as of about 10 a.m. that are affecting its call-taking capacity.

Incoming calls are still being received at Bucks County 911 despite the phone system’s diminished capacity. The county is working with the system vendor, Motorola, to rectify the issue as quickly as possible.

All county fire, EMS and police departments in the county have been notified of the issue.

Residents in need of emergency assistance should still call 911. However, if the call is unsuccessful, calls should be placed directly to local police, fire or EMS agencies.

Updates will be provided as they become available.
