Trio Mediæval to perform at Art at Kings Oaks

Art at Kings Oaks, 756 Worthington Mill Road, Newtown, presents Trio Mediæval at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12.

The crystalline voices of Trio Mediæval have captivated audiences since the group was founded in Oslo in 1997. The Grammy-nominated trio’s core repertoire features sacred monophonic and polyphonic medieval music from England, Italy and France; contemporary works written for the ensemble; and traditional Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic ballads and songs.

The concert in the chapel at Kings Oaks offers an intimate and transportive one-night engagement with the celebrated choral group. Members Anna Maria Friman, Linn Andrea Fuglseth, and Jorunn Lovise Husan will perform a selection of early music, Scandinavian folk songs, and contemporary compositions.

This unique and informal event will include conversation and light refreshments.
