The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Nov. 17 that construction will continue next week on the nearly-completed new northbound U.S. 1 bridge over Old Lincoln Highway (Business U.S. 1) and adjacent rail lines in Middletown Township.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
Monday, Nov. 21, and Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, periodic stoppages of up to 15 minutes will occur on southbound Old Lincoln Highway (Business U.S. 1) where it passes under U.S. 1 for removal of underside shielding and related hardware on the overhead bridge.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work area. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
