Warminster police said they have received information that scammers are calling people regarding missed jury duty.
The police department issued the following warning via Crimewatch.
Warminster Police or Township do not make any calls regarding jury duty and certainly does not solicit any form of payment.
If you receive this type of call do not pay any money or release personal information despite what caller or caller ID says. Instead hang up and call 215-672-1000 and have a Warminster Police officer come out and take your report.
Remember:
• Don’t give out — or confirm — your personal or financial information to someone who calls.
• Don’t wire money or send money using a reloadable card.
• Never pay someone who calls out of the blue, even if the name or number on the caller ID looks legitimate.
