Yardley Historical Association hosts photographic tour of Bucks

Posted

“Bucks County’s Beauty and History,” a photographic tour by Josh Friedman, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14.

The program will be hosted by the Yardley Historical Association at the Old Library by Lake Afton, 46 W. Afton Ave.

The sights of Bucks County are always exceptional, but a photographer can often bring out their very best by catching scenes at the perfect moments, as well as creatively enhancing them using today’s digital darkroom.

Friedman is one such photographer. He has been shooting photos since he was a boy, and now his images are in homes and offices around the world.

During his photographic tour, Friedman will present scenes that he has taken in Yardley and throughout Bucks County. They reflect the area’s natural beauty, rich history, and his interest in landscapes and architecture. He also will explain his inspiration and techniques.

The program promises to be a treat for the eyes and a chance to understand the art of photography more fully.

The Yardley Historical Association preserves, maintains, and shares the Old Library by Lake Afton and its collections of books, documents, and ephemera related to Yardley’s history. The community is welcome to come to explore, discover, and have fun.
