HISTORY LIVES: Doylestown Shopping Center

“CROWDS JAM NEW SHOPPING CENTER” screamed the banner headline on the front page of The Daily Intelligencer, Oct. 15, 1959.

With a loud, “Let’s bring the Bullseye to Doylestown,” the long-awaited Target opened its doors to invited guests Monday in the Doylestown Shopping Center.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said more than 80 municipal police departments from Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties will join the Pennsylvania State Police in a coordinated aggressive driving enforcement wave.

Doylestown Target set to open in July

The highly anticipated Target in the Doylestown Shopping Center now has an “opening month,” said Sean Sablosky, the CEO of the Arrow Real Estate Services, which manages the center.

Shoppers at the new Target at the Doylestown Shopping Center should have no trouble identifying where to park when picking up their orders after the store opens later this year.
