Caroline D. Gentile of Jamison, PA passed away in the Horsham Center for Jewish Life, Horsham, PA on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was 93.
Born in Nutley, NJ to the late Peter and Mary (Borowska) Doubrava, Caroline resided in New Hyde Park, NY and Furlong, PA before moving to Jamison, PA.
Caroline adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and share family recipes. Caroline’s sauce and meatballs were like no other. One of her favorite pastimes was shopping at Marshalls with her girls. She was also a long-time member of St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church.
She was the beloved wife of the late Victor Gentile, Sr.; devoted mother of Victor Gentile Jr. (Helene), Maryanne Brady (late Jack), Joseph Gentile (Joann), Carolyn Magness (late Mark), Anthony Gentile (Monica), Michael Gentile (Dawn), Anne-Therese Gougler (William), Susan Hilton (James), and the late Roger Gentile (survived by Kathy); dear sister of Peter Doubrava (Marilyn), and the late Dorothy Wocl (late Edward); also survived by 29 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 7:00-9:00 pm and at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison, PA 18929 on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 am, with a mass to follow at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
