How disappointing it was to read the Bucks County Herald’s April 18 article entitled “Chalfont updates comprehensive plan.”
Instead of seizing the opportunity to succinctly inform the Chalfont community of its updated, modernized plan, the reporter wrote about a lone councilman’s (Mitch Meyerson) disapproval.
An alternative and more-informative article from a public service standpoint would have been to highlight, but in more detail, the forecasted positive impacts created by the Bristol Road extension, benefits of creating shared parking, encouraging retail growth, and sharing updated statistics relevant to improving life in the borough.
I am surprised the Herald did not devote most of its copy to positive facts and instead chose to focus on a single negative opinion.
