Posted

D&R Greenway Land Trust invites the public to join a community celebration for the nonprofit’s 35th year with 328 properties, 22,298 properties preserved.

The event is set for 4-6 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at The Johnson Education Center, 1 Preservation Place, Princeton, N.J. Meredith’s Garden for Inspiration, in bloom with native plants and adjacent to the renovated historic barn, will provide the setting for this signature fundraiser.

D&R Greenway Land Trust announced that Princeton sustainability advocate Liz Cutler will receive the 2024 Donald B. Jones Conservation Award on June 9. In honor of her inspiring leadership as a retired teacher at Princeton Day School, D&R Greenway will recognize young people who have been leading community conservation efforts.

For more than three decades, Cutler has inspired a conservation ethic in Princeton, schools across New Jersey, and beyond.

She continues to inspire a conservation ethic through her artwork today. Her ornate collages, made from real flowers and other objects found on quiet walks, are created through a process that preserves the natural environment.

“My art is the creative manifestation of the professional work I’ve been doing my entire life, which is helping people fall in love with nature. We humans only save what we love,” said Cutler.

Admission is by advance ticket at $100 per person at www.drgreenway.org or 609-924-4646.
