Get ready for Doylestown at Dusk Car Show

Posted

The streets of downtown Doylestown will transform into a spectacular showcase of automotive excellence at the 15th annual Doylestown at Dusk Car Show, taking place from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 20. The rain date is July 21.

This year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever, with over 520 cars, trucks, and motorcycles expected to line West Court, West State, South Clinton, and Hamilton streets.

Organized by the Doylestown Rotary Club, this event draws between 20,000 and 25,000 visitors, making it one of the largest public events in Doylestown and Bucks County. This year also marks a special milestone – Doylestown Rotary turned 100 years old.

The Doylestown at Dusk Car Show offers a unique opportunity to experience more than 100 years of automotive progress. From classic and collectible cars to exotic vehicles, there’s something for every car enthusiast.

Key attractions include late model exotic cars like Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, and Porsches along West Court and West State Street. Antique fire trucks, American muscle cars, and precious antique automobiles and motorcycles will also be on display.

Doylestown at Dusk is a family-friendly event that celebrates community spirit. Attendees can enjoy food from local restaurants, activities for kids, and a variety of vendors.

This year, a record eight bands and entertainers will perform throughout the downtown area, with the main stage at West Court and North Clinton. The show will open with Springbrooke, with its lead singer performing the National Anthem, followed by the Rock’n’Roll Chorus later in the evening, to keep the energy high until the end.

“This year, we are proud to donate $25,000 to local charities, ensuring that the positive impact of this event extends far beyond the festivities,” said Helen Amelsberg, show chair and past president of the Doylestown Rotary Club. Attendees will have the opportunity to see five local nonprofits be awarded their grants, all made possible from the monies raised by this car show.

A team of experienced Car Show Judges will inspect each pre-registered vehicle and present two types of awards: the Top 40 and the Specialty Awards. The Top 40 winners will receive their awards at their vehicles before the main awards ceremony at 9 p.m. Vice Show Chair Rick Millham invites everyone to join the Award Winners at the Main Stage at 9 p.m. Specialty Awards include 11 different categories, such as the Bruce Rutherford Trophy for Best of Show, the Mayor’s Choice (chosen by Doylestown Mayor Noni West), and the Longest Distance Award for the vehicle that was driven the furthest to attend the show.

Due to road closures in downtown Doylestown, attendees are encouraged to park outside the immediate area. A free shuttle bus will be available from the Bucks County Parking Garage.
