Harry William “Bill” Schull died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Aug. 13, 2022, in New Hope, Pa., at the age of 79.

Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Patricia Ann (Dwyer), and his children William Schull (Claudine), Patrick Schull and Julia Jellen (Jonathan). Bill was also an adoring Pop-Pop to Alexis Knipe, Dakota Knipe, Storm Schull, Skyler Schull, Wyatt Knipe and Zachary Schull. He is also survived by his sister Diane Gerhardt and many sisters- and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandson Sean William Schull and his parents, Evelyn (Banger) and Harry Schull of Willow Grove, Pa.

Bill was from Willow Grove, Pa., and graduated from Upper Moreland High School where he excelled at baseball, football and basketball. He attended Bloomsburg University and Temple University. He spent most of his adult life living in Doylestown, Buckingham and Solebury. As a member of the Home Builders Association, Bill was an accomplished and meticulous custom homebuilder (H.W. Schull Custom Homes, Inc.) in and around those same communities for more than 40 years. He also built vacation homes for his family in Warren, Vt., Longboat Key, Fla., and Mount Pocono, Pa. Of all the things Bill built, he was proudest of the family he created with Patricia, his children and grandchildren, all of whom he steadfastly supported with compassion and love.

Bill was a man of many passions and interests. He was an avid sports fan who would watch any sport and who generously supported CYO athletics as a coach and sponsor. Bill loved cars and passionately handed down the knowledge he learned from his father to any mechanic who would listen. He also enjoyed a wide variety music – from his favorite, Elvis, to CeeLo Green and everyone in between. Bill loved to travel and ensured he stayed in touch with his close friends and enjoyed his monthly lunches with his grade school and high school buddies.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until his funeral Mass 11 a.m. in St. Martin of Tours Church, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, PA 18938. His interment will be held privately at a later date.
